Description
Awesome Tanks 3 lands somewhere between all-out chaos and careful strategy. You jump into a chunky cartoon tank, facing unpredictable maps that are dotted with walls, destructibles, and, well—plenty of enemy tanks. Movement is snappy. There’s an odd thrill in zigzagging through narrow corridors under fire. The dual-stick controls take maybe a minute to get used to (it’s easier than it sounds), but once you start weaving shots around corners? Pretty satisfying. This isn’t one of those games where you simply hold down shoot and win.
Upgrades play a big role—almost too big at times. Destroying enemies earns coins for buying new weapons or boosting stats, which does help keep things moving forward when the challenge spikes up. I noticed some players might grind a bit if they want all the best gear early on.
Level design mixes surprise ambushes with open brawls and hidden paths tucked behind breakable walls. It’s interesting; sometimes I’d discover a secret passage without even trying, other times I missed them completely until my second go-around.
And yeah, there’s even a level editor where you can try tossing together wild arenas yourself or play what others have made. Really opens up what you can do here.
Fans of twin-stick shooters or old-school arcade vibes will probably settle in quick—even if pacing stutters when hunting for secrets.

I came into Awesome Tanks 3 not expecting much more than basic shooting action—but it actually won me over after half an hour or so. At first I was annoyed by how weak my starter tank felt (kind of sluggish), but once I got some upgrades rolling… there was this addicting sense of progress that kicked in hard.
The twin-stick controls felt awkward for my clumsy thumbs initially, though after a few rounds I managed to stop running into walls every five seconds. It feels great landing shots from around corners—actually makes you think about your positioning instead of just spamming bullets everywhere.
One thing: some missions felt oddly short while others dragged on; the pacing isn’t always steady. Well, that didn’t stop me from wanting to see what weapon upgrade came next! Not flawless by any stretch but way more engaging than expected.
